Point-of-Rocks bridge

Dear Mr Cuccinelli::

I lived near Point-of-Rocks bridge for about 15 years. We are all quite aware of how dangerous the south end is; there have been a number of fatalities in Guy and Sheila's front yard -- where 40 mile-per-hour traffic cannot make the 90 degree left.

I would like to propose a possible solution for VDOT engineers to consider::

o For traffic east on Route 672 make it illegal to turn left onto Route 15 north.
o Put a turning circle about a mile into Virginia for traffic east from 672 to do a 180.
o Build a new north-bound span at about 35-45 degrees off the existing span.

And now for the tricky part::
o Allow traffic west to Lovettsville to duck under both spans;
o (AND keep that bed"s elevation as high as possible (out of the floodplain)) ;; is bingo.
